Niels brings 25 years of marine and business development expertise to the Fathom Marine. As President, Niels' role is to develop Fathom Marine as a reputable marine operator and logistics service provider.

Prior to coming to Fathom, Niels spent seven years at Island Tug and Barge as Vice President of Marine Transportation. During his tenure, he was responsible for both operational and commercial activities within the core business activities, as well as developing new markets including the Canadian Arctic.

Niels first started in the marine industry in 1991 with Teekay Shipping, one of the largest global suppliers of oil tankers. During the nine years he spent with Teekay, Niels gained valuable experience in both Accounting and Operations and eventually was promoted to a management position responsible for business development and sale and purchase activities.




Scott joined Fathom in 2016 bringing with him over 20 years of experience in the marine industry.  Scott’s career began in 1993 for a familyrun group of companies now known as ITB Marine Group.

He has held many key positions over the years including Deckhand, 1st Mate, Supervisor of Oil Transfer Operations, Barge Superintendent, Technical Services Manager, and Operations Manager.

Scott has extensive knowledge in fuel product quality and quantity controls, fuel transfer operations, oil handling facility operation, pollution prevention and response.  His career path also allowed him to become knowledgeable in heavy equipment operations, vessel maintenance and repair, vessel inspections and salvage, safety management systems, personnel management, project planning and management, and customer contract management.

Scott has successfully managed Canadian Arctic Operations via seasonal residence in Tuktoyaktuk and Inuvik, Northwest Territories since 2012. 



Capt. Terry Camsell was born and raised in Canada's North, and throughout his marine career he has been involved with almost every facet of Arctic Marine Operations.

Terry has worked in arctic shipping his whole career, including 20 years working on ships, his last posting was captain on the 24,000 BHP ASPPR Class 4 Icebreaker MV Kalvik for 8 years. The Kalvik was one of Gulf Canada’s (BeauDril) primary icebreaker AHTS vessels, work included towing the offshore drilling platforms “Molikpaq” and “Kulluk”, anchor handling, supply and ice management around the Kulluk.  Terry has kept up the onboard practical experience by periodically serving as an Ice Navigator on ships in the arctic.

Terry came ashore working in marine operations and has worked on many Arctic projects and held various positions including Director of Eastern Arctic Operations for Northern Transportation Company, responsible for the supply and delivery of fuel and dry cargo to 19 communities in Nunavut. Although Terry keeps his hand in the operations side of things, in the last few years he has branched into business development and has served as Manger of Business Development for the ITB Marine Group as they started up their arctic operations.





Kevin grew up in West Vancouver and attended the University of Washington on a golf scholarship from 2007-2011. Graduating with a degree in Finance and as member of the Dean’s List in all four years, Kevin moved back to Vancouver and began his career in the investment industry at Raymond James. Following his tenure there, he golfed professionally for several years before joining the Fathom Marine team. While new to the Marine industry, Kevin’s unique background, work ethic and attention to detail will be valuable as Fathom continues to expand its operations.
